This honestly looks good.
The problem is you have a lot of Rec Room “Yes” people in the creator community. Afraid to go against what staff is trying to feed us in fear of losing their monetization or becoming deplatformed in someway with Rec Room
The problem this idea has is it losses the plot of what the rec room aesthetic is. I am all for customization but this is an aesthetic change that is on the same missed mark as the new shrek aesthetic. While it tries to stay similar, it fails at the overall charm that the original had
Most of all you are losing the plot by focusing on something that doesn’t need focus. It was always the interaction of RR staff with the community that made this game feel alive and made it different from similar games.
The fact that you laid off foundational staff should tell you that the direction you are headed in is not the right one.

Some people like it, and some don’t, it’s not that deep.
I’m leaning more of a so and so, the lipstick accessories is just a no, but the stuff being said here needs to be taken with a grain of salt, so I’m interested how that would go.

we dont want to it will never have the same charm rro quest do with the music and level and we cant make the type of enemies they have it wont have the same charm like others if you want a new quest go make one yourself I’ve made one but it doesn’t have the same charm and deep down I hate it I tried making it close to rec rooms style but I cant so I deleted it I hate playing community rooms just because how they became cashgrabs I try to make good games but they all look terrible but there is things like the golden top hat I’m trying to get that without making a cash grab so what do I do nothing because you bassicly cant this is why we want quest from rec room there fun not pay to win engaging calming and makes us have fun meanwhile we don’t get that through ugc bring back rec room quests weekly it nearly been a year sense they where deleted and they haven’t brought them back because not many players did them anymore why is that well its because we couldn’t we have almost all item skins in rec room now I hate full body and it hurt deep now on the last weekly because it was something I never use

The issue isn’t whether we can make a high quality quest ourselves, it’s that people want more “official” quests, quests where Rec Room advertises it and so you are absolutely guaranteed to find people to play it with at any time, it’s another hub like the Rec Center. Also until they get back around to working on AI, we can’t really make quests how Rec Room can, CV2 AI spawners are always super busted and R2 pathfinder still needs alot of work.

I think everyone has different opinions on what Rec Room should add or not allow in the game. Everyone has different wants and desires.
Some people don’t like the full-body avatars, and that’s perfectly fine for them. Some people don’t like to look like they’ve been mewing in the mirror for the past month, and that’s okay too. You don’t have to look like that. You can choose what you look like on rec room.
For games like The Sims or Mii, the charm comes from customizing your character and making it look like yourself or something cursed. For Rec Room, the faces seemed to be hand-drawn and simple. From the pictures they shared, it seems they just expanded the look to add more details. I love how they are adding more ways for every player to express themselves.
Something like this has been in the plans for a long time now. They don’t suddenly make decisions or release new features out of desperation. They might have released it early, but it was mostly on the roadmap. Also, there are different teams who focus on specific tasks. This was mentioned before, but it’s important to know this. This is a focus for the Avatar team. If you want something else added to the game, suggest it and get players to support it. They can’t get the thing you want personally done if there isn’t enough support. Not supporting this because rec room couldn’t afford to keep all their staff isn’t productive.
The plot is still there; this is just another chapter.
