Hey Henry, this is JeremySr007. I tested it out and was able to successfully download 2 of my rooms last night. Im on a powerful gaming desktop I built myself with a very fast 1gig up/down fiber optic internet connected with ethernet.
But that being said, you should be able to download your rooms even on a much weaker machine and on wifi if you dont have ethernet.
What are the specs of your PC?
Desktop or laptop?
What CPU?
how much RAM?
How much free hard drive space do you have on your C: drive?
video card should not matter since you were able to login and play and create rooms.
If you still cant download your rooms, I would try doing it on someone elses PC… parents, siblings, friends… or at your local library you may be able to play rec room in non-VR desktop mode if you can get steam installed and recroom installed. If it works there, then it will download to a folder inside DOCUMENTS, and that folder will pop up automatically.
and my initial guess is that you dont have enough free space on your C drive. I noticed one of my rooms ended up being larger than 1GB as a zip file. If that is the case, I would recommend uninstalling a few larger games you have to free up a ton of space, assuming you have more than just Rec Room installed.
