Hey, I heard Rec Room is shutting down, but I do want to keep creating worlds in VR somehow, and share them across the world. Imagine if we can make Rec Room 2, and we can import our maker pen creations from the first game, and put them in the new one.

good idea,but they will take them a Long time and also if rec room2 is gonna make money For them they will.
There are variations of this going around, mainly being the idea of Rec Room rebranding or restarting. And there are actually facts that support this idea, mainly that Rec room said last year that they layed off half their staff to save money and keep going for a few more years. And now all the money they saved poofed and they can’t run it anymore? Either they were lying about how much they actually had, or they do still have some money and are going to use it for something else (hint hint)
Basically, what would be ideal, it that they are going to completely wipe out the Rec Room servers, every account, room, club, etc competely erased, and revive old RR. No UGC avatar items, no AI (because that is one of the main reasons they are shutting down), no brainrot(YAY), and just restore Rec Room as it was 10 years ago (but still keeping some of the platforms). This would allow Rec Room to have a clean, fresh start, be able to nail any bugs fairly quickly, and prevent it from dying again by keeping it off the path that current Rec Room went down and died on.
Most of this is wishful thinking, but i do think that it is probable. At least I hope it is.
But yes, it would take a really long time to do, so if it is happening, it definitely won’t be released on June 2nd or something.
